Common questions

How do I add a stamp?

Tap Add a stamp. Choose the country, how you arrived and the date, and the stamp is pressed onto the page.

How does finding trips from my photos work?

Wanderjournal looks at when and where your photos were taken, on your iPhone, and groups them into visits to each country. You choose which ones to add. Photos taken from a plane window are ignored, so they won't show up as places you visited. This is part of Wanderjournal Plus.

A trip shows the wrong country

Photos taken near a border can occasionally be placed in the neighbouring country. Tap Archive on that card (or swipe it) to leave it out, or tap Check the whole stamp to change the details before adding. You can restore anything you've archived.

Is my journal backed up?

If you're signed in to iCloud, your journal syncs to your own private iCloud automatically. Check Settings, then Backup, in the app. If it says "Saved on this phone", sign in to iCloud in the iPhone Settings app.

I bought Plus on another device. How do I get it back?

Open Wanderjournal Plus in the app and tap Restore purchase, using the same Apple Account you bought it with.

How do I edit something I've placed on a page?

Tap it once to select it, then tap it again or press Edit. Drag the corner handle to resize or turn it, and for writing, drag the side handle to change where the lines break.

How do I add the widgets?

Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Wanderjournal. Widgets are part of Wanderjournal Plus.

How do I start again?

In the app, go to Settings and tap Start my journal over at the bottom. This removes every stamp and page, including from iCloud, and can't be undone.
